IN OCTOBER — the aftermath of the war is spent rejuvenating the region. pokemon and trainers are hard at work, repairing natural landscapes, while clearing fields and mountains of macabre remnants. still, pools of poison remain where naganadel and poipole have fallen... until they are cleaned, poor unsuspecting wildlife may find themselves within these toxic traps, forcing them to become aggressive and hostile.[break][break][break]

after the war, the league scours the region in search of any remaining threats. among these threats are poipole. they threaten the wildlife of hoenn, which already faces overwhelming struggles as the land begins to heal. however, the league's developed antidote, thanks to the efforts of Thomas Benoit and Lucas Lane's further experimentation in the lab, has granted the ultra beasts with a chance at a second life. subdue them and avoid their stingers![break][break][break]

The fall of the Megalopolan spells opportunity to the region. Their technology, their Pokemon, and more importantly, advancement lies within the reach of the victors. Although their presence has caused immense damage to the ecosystem, the remnants of their war machine now lies within their reach. For his own benefit, Fernando elopes to find one of these Ultra Beasts for himself. Being able to claim one is the first step into understanding and ultimately putting an end to these impenetrable menaces.

"Surround and compound."

He holds the vanguard as they collapse onto a stray Poipole. His Mawhile takes the lead, IRON DEFENSE serving as a mild buffer to prevent the Pokemon from infecting it. "Care for its stinger." He warns, knowing full well that he might be sending his Pokemon to its demise. The idea is to catch the Pokemon within the Mawile's jaws, limiting its maneuverability and preventing it from lashing out.

Sending a fairy-type against something poisonous was a dangerous idea. Gavin knows it, as does the Alcremie that accompanies him. She lets out a low whine as she sees the havoc the Ultra Beasts have wreaked upon Hoennian soil.[break][break]

"You'll be fine," Gavin assures her. "Go on."[break][break]

Like hot summer air, the fairy-type's creamy composition seems to shimmer and melt. Seconds later, it hardens into a sort of ACIDIC ARMOUR. Alcremie looks up at Gavin as if searching for approval, her anxiety evident. With the aid of her psychic energy, and Poipole's stinger unable to pierce her hardened form, Alcremie manages to subdue the Poipole long enough for Gavin to get a hold of it.[break][break]

excitement danced in his eyes as the kabutops approached the alien creatures. his scythes were aching to dance: the feel the skin beneath the sharp blades tremble. there wasn't a trace of fear as the kabutops approached his prey, his hardened armor easily protecting him from the baby-like entities.

it was unfortunate that this was child's play. he had been hoping for some real action; a chance to hone his craft against foes of equal or higher strength. still, he wouldn't turn down the opportunity to stain his blades with blood. even if it was a strange purple color rather than the red he adored.

a sadistic gleam flashed across his face as he dispatched of the infantile beasts: some only temporarily while the others permanently.

A new addition to the team thanks to a flip trade with Adrian Malcolm the icy little shrew would increase its defensive abilities with DEFENSE CURL before attacking at range and DEFENSE CURLing once again.

It was a simple flow of attack but it was one they followed for several rotations using Icy and Rocky and Steely moves to damage the surviving ultra beasts into defeat. For a moment his mind flashed forward to what life could be like with the ultra beasts from beyond the stars living side by side with earth's humans and pokémon.

If it was possible then it was worth the effort and wiping them all out didn't have to be the only option.

"Stay Frosty. I know I haven't given the proper training for this but I need you to step up regardless." He had other pokémon he could have called on but he wanted the little Sandshrew to grow into a powerful contributor on his team. That meant putting it into the line of fire. "This ain't gonna be a quick and easy job."

there is no prompt so the porygon2 doesn't exactly know what it's going to do. it looks around to see what everyone else is doing and secretly wishes that it evolved so it has a reason to glitch out and run haywire.

it glows in a prismatic hue, setting its magic coat around itself to protect it from whatever's going to attack it. it hopes that it's effective against whatever is going to hit it. since this isn't a raid, it is.

What a nuisance. Oscar hated himself for volunteering for "clean up" duty, aka capturing those little purple bee fucks after their masters were wiped out. He was only doing it with the hope of getting one of his own. After all, didn't he deserve it for fighting in the war? Whatever, time to get shit done.

It was a simple cycle; his shuckle would bait them into attacking and then he would withdraw into his shell to deflect the attack. While they recoiled the shuckle would wrap his tentacles around the slippery fucks so Oscar could inject them. It was tiring and dangerous, but Oscar kept himself going by thinking about what these bad boys evolved into. Having one of those would really put him on the map.

once again dominic releases his pokemon into a nearby fountain, pointedly ignoring the way that the caretaker glared at both him and the sharpedo as water overflowed from the basin and on to the floor.

whenever poipoles would stray too far from the station with the antidote distribution, the sharpedo would leap from the air and corral them back by lashing at them with its body.
